The Pauanui Poolside Retreat offers guests a home away from home with total privacy and seclusion. It is tucked away from the main house and is well suited to those that like being left alone to relax and enjoy their time away.
A continental breakfast is provided along with a large range of teas, coffee and sweet treats. We also include a range of pantry basics and a selection of breakfast cereals.
We can provide fresh produce for you to prepare and cook a hot breakfast or a farm to plate dinner, these can be supplied on request at an additional charge.
The Pauanui Poolside Retreat is well equipped with everything you might possibly need from spades to a beach umbrella. We have a range of board games and some fantastic books to read, high speed Wi-Fi is available for those that wish to spend their downtime browsing the web or streaming a movie. We offer a selection of wine glasses and a range of platters to make up the perfect arrangement of nibbles. We have nearly everything you might need to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The bed linen is 100 % luxurious cotton and we provide quality bath towels and Egyptian cotton pool towels. We offer a selection of pillows and extra duvets for your comfort.
Our water is from our own spring and is in my mind the best drinking water in the world.

The pool house and Angela, our host was great! We had a wonderful time here despite poor weather the first 2 days. The house was equipped with books, games and tv which kept us occupied during the bad weather. The house was clean, tidy and was equipped with lots of extra goodies like different types of cereal and teas, plus extra toiletries (makeup remover pads, sunscreen etc). Pool was amazing to get into when the sun was hot. It was very peaceful and quiet with amazing scenery. Angela was always quick to respond and showed concern during the bad weather. Will definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay so much!!! It’s a very fun space. You have everything you need including cozy blankets. So much attention to detail! We enjoyed the outdoor space and the cozy living space. The views are unmatched. Angela was incredibly helpful and generous, even getting spades for our kids to use at hot beach. It was such a fun stay. 10/10 recommend!!

Beachy vibe, lots of privacy and felt so safe. Waking up at the sounds of the Tui. Stunning views all around. We fed the sheep and cows every night. Everything has been thought of.

The pool house was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Angela really looks after you and is friendly and generous, providing us with lots of extra food.
The accommodation is completely private with lots of surrounding trees and birdsong.
We spent a lot of time exploring the area, Coming back to our own private pool with a deck to relax on was the perfect way to recharge before going out again. Highly recommend this property whether you have a family group or couple. Perfect place to enjoy the beautiful Coromandel.
